Graduate Curriculum Subcommittee
The Graduate Curriculum Subcommittee is a subcommittee of the Graduate Council. It consists of four senate members and at least three non-senate members with representation from each college and the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies as an ex-officio member. The vice chair of the Graduate Council serves as the chair of the Graduate Curriculum Subcommittee. Terms of office are two years, staggered. Vacancies are filled during the term in which they occur from the same college of the vacating member for the remainder of that person’s term.
Duties of the Graduate Curriculum Subcommittee
- Reviews curricular issues related to graduate education.
- Reviews proposals for new graduate programs and deletion of existing programs.
- Reviews proposals for changes to existing graduate programs (such as hours, thesis/nonthesis options) and makes recommendations to the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies.
- Reviews proposals for new tracks or options to existing graduate programs and deletions of tracks or options, and makes recommendations to the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies.
- Reviews proposals for new graduate certificate programs and the deletion of existing certificate programs and makes recommendations to the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies.
- Reviews all requests for additions, revisions, and deletions of graduate and special topics courses and makes recommendations to the Vice Provost and Dean of Graduate Studies.
- Reviews all matters referred by the Graduate Council.

Academic programs need to complete a Special Topics Request form to request the addition of a Special Topics Course. Please download the following Special Topics Request Form_PDF or Special Topics Request Form_Word and submit your request to your College Office who will forward to the Division of Graduate Studies.
Academic programs need to complete the Course Action Request form when requesting an addition, deletion or revision to a UCF Graduate Course. Academic programs need to complete the Materials and Supplies Fees Request Form when requesting an addition, increase or deletion to materials and supplies fees.
